| Baby Volcano – Olor a fogata Baby Volcano presents her new single « Olor a Fogata, » the second release from her upcoming EP SUPERVIVENXIA. Olor a Fogata was the last track composed for the EP. It’s a melancholic cumbia-pop song. « The base of Olor a Fogata was originally intended as the outro of another song… but it was so catchy that it ended up taking its own place in the mini-album. I kept it in my head all the time, and now every time I listen to it, I feel like everything around me becomes beautiful and full of love. It’s quite nice, haha. » « This song is a love letter to my friends, to my family, and to the people I love. When I see these people doubting themselves or not realizing how incredible they are, it’s this song I want to send them. It’s also a song I send to my younger self, to the child I was, but also to the adult, in order to sweeten the saddest moments life forces us to go through. » The visualizer was filmed in Guatemala by Baby Volcano herself. « I filmed this video on a motorcycle with my cousin in the village where we live in Guatemala. It was amazing to ride around with the music in the background. The surprise of the Volcan de Fuego erupting at the end is mystical and reflects what I wished for at that moment: to be at home with my family and listen to cumbia all day long. » |
