Kevin Galland Unveil his New Single “In the Silence Between Worlds” from the Upcoming Eponymous Album.
In a style that hints at what the album will display, Kevin blends acoustic, electric and electronic sounds to support his low, almost whispering voice as he begins an inward journey through memories and insecurities. “The album’s theme is these transition periods in life, and this song lists a few like from my past, blends them and tries to understand what they have in common so that I can maybe learn from them and withstand the next ones without too much damage. Writing this song was pretty crazy, one of the very rare occurrences in my experience when lyrics and music both came at once from the first word and the first chord. I was driving when I came up with the title and had to immediately stop on the side of the road to write the full lyrics. I didn’t hesitate, I didn’t pause. It was there. Same with the music, the chromatic descent on the chorus was an accident while trying to play something else entirely and it was this mistake that made me realise I had the song that went with the lyrics. Everything just came in one go and I didn’t change a thing since.”
