Unfold – Feral Future – LP

UNFOLD emerged from the Swiss underground art scene in 1996. Like a dark apparition transcending traditional metal boundaries, the band casts a long shadow over the post-metal and hardcore landscapes, crafting a sonic tapestry steeped with violence and despair. A precursor of post-metal for some, a cult band for others, UNFOLD perfected their mastery of the Dantesque riff in contact with producers such as Daniel Bergstrand (Meshuggah, In Flames, Behemoth), with whom the band recorded “Pure”, their first album, then with Pelle Henricsson (Refused, The Hives), for “Aeon Aony”, the second album that consecrated the band. After a 7-year hiatus, UNFOLD returned with “Cosmogon” (2011), followed by “Banshee O Beast” (2017), two uncompromising albums of profound darkness.
