Wolfer’s first full-length album, “Hey, Lester!”, captures the band’s unfiltered intensity and chaotic beauty.
Formed in 2020 by the sisters Miriam and Julia Wolf, and later joined by drummer Miles Zuberbühler, wolfer solidified their ability to create a diverse experience involving their different musical approaches. Fascinated by the uncertain and transformative period following a crisis, wolfer’s music resonates with urgency and raw emotion.
Influenced by Part Chimp and guided by its singer and guitarist Tim Cedar, wolfer’s journey led them to producer Ben Turner at Axe and Trap Studios in Wells, Somerset.
Turner’s production aesthetic, known for capturing raw energy while maintaining clarity, complements wolfer’s blend of noisy riffs, pounding drums and captivating vocals.
Recorded in 2023, “Hey, Lester!” shows wolfer at their most dynamic. Tracks like “Your Glory,” “Horses in My Head,” and “Carol” balance warm distorted beauty with hectic and almost dreamy parts.
