| Léa does lights, plays music, and sings. She’s toured all over with elie zoé, Louis Jucker, Baby Volcano, Closet Disco Queen, Beurre, Cinq, Darius, Crème Solaire, and Osmose TV. She also plays and sings in Trounce, Svarts, HEX, Future Faces, and Etienne Machine. In 2024, she played her first solo shows, and her debut EP drops in the spring of 2025 on Humus Records. « Sheltered was written when I was around 19. This song was born out of a need for comfort and consolation. It took shape over the years, accompanying me like a lullaby I repeat to myself when I need it. It brings me back together and reconnects me to myself, drawing me back to the core of my emotions. Three years ago, I decided to record it with my friend Kevin Galland to give it a real structure and a final form. Several versions were recorded and adjusted before arriving at the final result that has been released. I wanted to create a dialogue with myself, with the different layers of vocals echoing the different versions of me, in different rooms. The lyrics often refer to the concept of home, to the realization that the roof that has always protected us is, in the end, not as solid as it seems, and that time inevitably wears down the walls. Sheltered has been with me for five years now, and I’m incredibly grateful to release it as the first single of my solo artist career. » |
