Prune Carmen Diaz Unveils Her New Single « Loneliness »
From the Upcoming Album Disobedience

A beating, groovy track that clearly shows what Prune Carmen Diaz means by disobedience: a constant effort to overcome loneliness and the injunctions of a sociability she knows to be incompatible with her sensitivity as an autistic woman.

It’s a true and positive war song, offering a response to the sense of inadequacy felt by those who dare to step out of the box predetermined for them by our normative society.

As Prune Carmen Diaz puts it:

* »This song is reminiscent of a time in my life when I was so lonely that I felt my loneliness had become a person, to the point it became someone I thought I was sleeping with. I was stuck in a kind of sticky, strange world.

And it also describes how hard it is for me to get bored. I can’t do it, it makes me incredibly anxious. That’s why it can be quite salutary to apprehend this solitude, to imagine that it’s someone who understands what you’re going through, who shares the same problems…

I’ve chosen solitude as a mean of survival, and also as a form of disobedience. I think I’m the only person around me who’s really alone. And for me, it’s a basic form of survival, because in fact, it allows me not to get hurt.

You can probably hurt yourself, but that loneliness doesn’t imply all the suffering and distress that I can feel when I’m confronted with social relationships. »*
